The brainchild of cofounders KJ Miller and Amanda Johnson, Mented Cosmetics started out as a very popular topic between friends wondering why was it so hard to find a nude lipstick for women of color. Taking the brand name form the root of the word "pigmented," Miller and Johnson wanted to bring nude lipsticks, eyeshadow palettes, and blushers to women from light and tan to dark skin tones.
