Mented Cosmetics
Harvard Business School alums KJ Miller and Amanda E. Johnson raised $4 million in funding for Mented, an organic cosmetics brand catering to a sector often underrepresented in the beauty industry: women of color.
The brand began with nude lipsticks for diverse skin tones, but has much broader plans in the works. In the next year, Mented will expand into eyeshadow, blush, and highlighter, with eventual plans to introduce foundation, powder, and concealer.
