When Amanda and Kristen reached out to me, I was a little thrown off. I couldn't believe that a startup company thought that my platform was good enough to become a Mented Cosmetics Ambassador. Amanda and Kristen take pride in what they do. Being able to create a lipstick line that is catered to woman of color is not easy since there aren't a lot of good examples that they could've based their product off. Yes we have brands like Cover Girl Queen Collection + Fashion Fair + Iman + but they still don't get it quite right when it comes to the lipsticks they make for woman of color. Mented has nailed it on the first try. With only 6 colors in their current collection, they managed to make their shades look the same on every complexion from light brown to espresso. They are helping the revolution. The revolution in creating a brand that caters to more then the ivory, light and medium shades of the world. What Amanda and Kristen have done will forever change the way women shop for and wear neutral colors on their lip. Pretty in Pink, Nude La La, and Foxy Brown to name a few.
